Pope Francis – The Sinner (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

This Would You Believe special explores the life of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the man who would become Pope Francis. The Argentinian Jesuits who lived with him claim his hard-line tactics as a Provincial divided them – yet they deny he was complicit in the country’s Dirty War. #popefrancis 

Raised By Wolves (Channel 4, 10pm)

The premiere of a new show by author and columnist Caitlin Moran, which re-imagines her childhood in Wolverhampton. In the first episode of six, we meet the family – all six children are being homeschooled by mum Della, with chaotic results. #raisedbywolves

The Wrestler (TG4, 9pm)

Mickey Rourke made his Hollywood comeback with this story of an ageing wrestler who continues to wrestle, despite his poor health, in an attempt to cling on to his glory days. Rourke got an Oscar nod for his performance.

Everyone’s talking about: #TwinPeaks

Oh no! The new series of the cult 90s telly classic hasn’t even started filming yet, but it’s already running into “complications”.

Last year, it was announced that the series would be rebooted for US TV network Showtime – but speaking at the opening of an exhibition of his artwork in Brisbane, director David Lynch said he “wasn’t sure” if it was even happening.

But later he told The Mix:

I haven’t returned yet and we’re still working on the contract, but I love the world of Twin Peaks and I love those characters. And I think it will be very special to go back into that world.
